Herbie Goes Bananas

I doubt seriously if a packed room full of fans has anticipated a showing of Herbie Goes Bananas since its first release on beta in the early 80s. But there we were tonight. So maybe it was just 8 of us in a crowded hotel room high above Fort Collins, and by far the most anticipation belonged to my little boy. But we laughed, cried, were scared, and overjoyed by Herbie's antics. It is probably the most atrociously bad film I've seem in a decade, but who cares? The point was that Alex thought it was fun. And he got to snuggle in bed with Aunt Ali, Uncle Eric, Grandma Carla, and Genevieve to watch it.

Alex will have good memories of Herbie Goes Bananas, even if the movie stinks. And hopefully you will be spared the Hannah Montana craze with Geneivive!

It was a fun fun night (and we didn't even get a noise complaint)!
I wish we had pictures of Genevieve jumping around the room while Alex was trying so hard to pay attention to the movie.

Quick update: Alex really enjoyed the 2005 Lindsay Lohan movie, "Herbie: Fully Loaded". It is a modern take on the Herbie franchise, and lots of fun!

OK Dan, Li Lo in a movie with "Fully Loaded" in the title? Oh jeez, you are just tempting me to commit SSC (severe snarky comment)!

Wait wait, I am always late....
Herbie is the volkswagen, same year as my old Michelle that Michael now cares for? I love Herbie...
