Last night we found the camera! It was in a grocery bag of stuff we had taken to Boulder when Richard, Sarah, Alex, Dana, Alex and I went down there for some sightseeing on Alex's birthday.
Speaking of that trip, here are some photos...
Alex had a good time opening his birthday presents. Many thanks to everyone for sending him such thoughtful gifts! The Little Peoples barn was a huge hit, as was the little people Noah's Ark. Alex loves putting all of the animals together and moving them around. The musical drum is great - he beats on it and laughs. My grandma Jane sent a replica of the Massey-Fergusen tractor my Grandpa (William) drove on the family farm for years. Both my Dad and I learned to drive it sitting on my Grandpa's lap. It is a keepsake - I think I'll keep it to myself for the time being since I don't want Alex to try and take it apart. When he's a little older I'll give it to him.
Alex and Alex walking around together on the Pearl Street mall in Boulder. They had a ball!
More big news... we're making great progress getting the house ready for selling. I packed up about 10 bankers boxes of just books, just from the living room!
I finished the garage door! Our good friend Andy Russell came over on Sunday and helped me finish the springs and lock installation. Also Andy loves kids it turns out, and he spent about 7 hours watching Alex while Dana studied and I worked on tidying up the house. What a deal! Too bad Andy is planning to move to Seattle sometime soon :(
Here's a few pictures of the house progress...
Progress in the backyard - Dana weeded one of the planters and started up the garden
Progress in the kitchen - we started removing the hideous pink striped wallpaper... only to reveal ANOTHER layer of wallpaper (not as hideous)
Progress upstairs - the heat is half hooked up. The circuit is complete upstairs. Still need to do all the plumbing in the basement to hook up the boiler circuit.
Progress in the living room - hard to tell from this photo, but it is a huge step forward. (Two of Dana's paintings above the bookshelves)

Yay! You found your camera! Cute pictures of the two Cousins. I just got my Real Simple magazine, and it claims that wallpaper is coming back into vogue. In fact, I'm considering re-papering our bedroom instead of painting it. I've always preferred installing wallpaper over painting, so that makes me happy! If you want help re-papering, let me know! Of course, if you want me to play with Alex while YOU paper, that's even better!
Love,
Mom/SF G'ma
